To give a new direction for all cost cutting initiatives at Kotak. To make efficiency a way of life at Kotak. Tol Mol Hai Goal was devised, which simplified the concept of cost cutting and reached wider audience from head-office to branches all over India. Asking the employee to do the Tol Mol before they made every decision.

Solution

Employees were asked to come up with ideas on cost cutting and better ways of doing things. A special team was assigned to select the ideas and drive the execution. Several mailers were sent announcing our vision, calling for ideas, selected ideas, winners for the ideas and results were sent at regular intervals. This kept the momentum going and employees took pride in being efficient, resulting in increased savings. The result was astounding. Kotak employees have saved 12+ crores for the organisation and the campaign still goes on, with newer milestones to reach.
